Showing and Using the GuardedID Menu

Unhide the GuardedID Icon (watch the animation) - In the System Notification Area Tray at the bottom right of your screen, left-click on the "^" to "Show Hidden Icons" and drag the "G" to the tack bar.


Unhide the GuardedID Icon (Step by step) - In the System Notification Area Tray at the bottom right of your screen, left-click on the ^ to "Show Hidden Icons".


The "Show Hidden Icons" box will open.
Left-press on the "G" and drag it down to the task bar"

The GuardedID Icon and Menu - The GuardedID "G" icon is visible now in the notification area. It will "flash" each time a key is pressed and protected. It will also indicate when disabled, deactivated, or warnings. Right-click on the GuardedID "G" icon to open the menu. Clicking on "Enable" will disable/enable GuardedIDTM.


Manage License - The Manage License dialog allows the user to register or unregister their License Key from the current computer. Once a License Key is unregistered it can be transferred for use on another computer. This dialog also lets the user update their details.


Preferences - The Preferences dialog displays all the configuration settings and users preferences. From this dialog you can set Options for start-up defaults, and Clickjack Warning Options.


Event Viewer - The Event Log is for diagnostic purposes. It detects changes to the GuardedIDTM keyboard driver by programs like keyloggers or spyware.


Allow Screen Share - GuardedID blocks other programs from capturing the information displayed on your screen. At times you may want to share your screen with others such as in a Webex-style presentation. Use this setting to tell GuardedID to allow screen sharing for the desired time. (Note that the Preferences setting can be used to disable screen protection completely.)


Check for updates / Download Update - Use this button to check if an update to GuardedID is available. If there is an update available, this menu item changes to "Download update". Pressing the button will open the default browser to the updates page.


Enable the toolbar for Internet Explorer - A toolbar for Internet Explorer provides "CryptoColor" and Clickjack Warning features. If you are using Internet Explorer and the toolbar is not showing, Click here and Make Toolbar Appear in IE.


About Dialog - The About dialog displays the GuardedIDTM Version Number and the Machine ID. These two pieces of information are used for GuardedIDTM support.
